A Birth Doula is a trained birth coach who gives physical, emotional and spiritual support to the mother during childbirth. A birth doula shares information with the mother and partner about different options in childbirth, and supports whatever decisions are right for them as a family. |
A Postpartum Doula supports women and their families through the Postpartum period of childbirth, helping the parents through this transitional period. The doula shares information about babycare and makes sure the mother is comfortable and bonding with her baby. Postpartum Doula services may consist of a few visits or assistance that lasts a few months. |

I believe that “with every baby born there is also a mother born.” This belief is the source of my support through every stage of maternity: pregnancy, the postpartum period, and early motherhood.
